AVASUN perimeter protact uses the well-established hard- and software from HeiTel/Xtralis which has already proven its´ extraordinary performance by conforming to the British i-LIDS® requirements. But what is i-LIDS®?
The “Image Library for Intelligent Detection Systems (i-LIDS®) is a performance standard which the British government has defined for video analysis and which has been approved world-wide. This standard originated from the cooperation with the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure.
i-LIDS® includes a collection of CCTV video recordings, picturing exactly realistic conditions and potential threats (like offenders´ procedure) based on certain scenarios. Currently five scenarios are shown within i-LIDS® that have to be fulfilled in order to conform to the specifications of i-LIDS®.
These are:
Each of these specific points contains three different data sets. Each of these data sets includes film material for a period of 24 hours, reflecting weather conditions, daytimes and scenery concentrations to be expected in scenarios. The item tracking movement has even 50 hours of realistic open-air recordings under extremely difficult conditions like a person rolling through the image.
The data sets also contain two or three different step adjusted camera perspectives that are divided into shorter video clips with 30 to 60 minutes. The data set to check each video analysis software includes different kinds of attack.
Only if a video analysis software has mastered the predetermined scenarios it can be referred to as i-LIDS® compatible.

- Surveillance of a clearly defined area
- Detection of parked cars
- Detection of abandoned baggage
- Surveillance of entrances
- Different scenarios to track movements via cameras (Tracking)
