Intelligent identification, assessment and alarm
Video analytics is a procedure to identify and assess movements via cameras and intelligent software as well as trigger an alarm if necessary. Modern video analysis can track determined movements and be applied successfully in many different areas at the same time. The assessment of a persons´ height subject to the distance of the camera makes video analysis an excellent instrument for surveillance with a low rate of false alarms. Video analystics works with CCD-cameras as well as thermal cameras.
Video analysis is very efficient combined with conventional day/night cameras for a distance of up to 50 m on condition that the cameras are fixed and a preferably clearly defined environment. For night vision an additional infrared spotlight is necessary.
Infrared cameras receive infrared rays and display the image with different intensity values. Images can be shown as grey scale or false colours. With this technology the user can see even at complete darkness and during almost all weather conditions. In connection with video detection the system is an excellent sensor which monitors the defined areas day and night, assesses, detects and alarms reliably.
We use FLIR cameras, a leader in development and production of infrared image systems. In connection with the intelligent video analysis software from CogVis allowing the identification and tracking of a person with determination of the alarm area this combination of both systems is a powerful instrument for reliable perimeter security. The range of detection via infrared camera is between 50 and 300 m, in dependent on the terrain as well as the choice of cameras.
To save costs we always evaluate the purpose of a combination of thermal cameras and day and night cameras.
