To deliver perfect services to our customers in every respect we are not satisfied to rely on the manufacturers statements regarding the performance of their products only. For this reason AVASUN is installing a test site at a small photovoltaic plant, to put the security systems we use to the acid test. These tests not only include the continuous operation of the surveillance cameras, fence sensors, ground sensors and video analysis as well as the microwave barriers during each season but also the surmounting test with most diverse methods. In the future we will report about this and share the experiences we collect with you. We started with fibre optic ground detection. We chose a solar farm as a test site to check the surveillance components especially for perimeter security with conditions of a PV-plant, as real as they can get. Particularly the cameras AVASUN uses, as well as the different video analysis software have to be subject to all influences that exist at a photovoltaic farm. Hereby we will considerably expand our experiences with perimeter security for photovoltaic systems to provide our customers the best security solution for a PV-farm.
