Several thousand meters of copper cable were stolen from a solar farm in Pölchow (Rostock district). The burglary had been noticed during maintenance and repair work. Apparently, the unknown perpetrators forced open the fence to gain access to the site. The damage is estimated at several tens of thousands of euros.
Between 28 and 29.01.2023, unknown perpetrators entered the premises of the solar farm and tampered with transformer stations. Currently, there are no exact details about the exact composition of the loot, but the property and theft damage is estimated at about 60,000 EUR.
Unknown perpetrators broke into the Meerane solar park in Saxony between Tuesday morning and Thursday morning and stole 78 solar panels, according to initial findings. To do so, they cut open the wire mesh fence and dismantled the panels of the solar park, which was already in operation. The amount of damage has not yet been quantified.

In the night of 27.12.2022 unknown perpetrators gained access to the photovoltaic park under construction. For this purpose, they cut through the fence and sabotaged the presumably temporary video surveillance. They then carried off solar modules worth around EUR 13,000. It is now being investigated whether there may be usable recordings despite the damage to the video system.
Unknown perpetrators entered the premises of the photovoltaic park in Bürstadt/Hesse through the previously damaged fence and cut countless insulated cables in the further course. According to initial estimates, several kilometers of copper cables were involved. The loot amounted to only several thousand euros while the damage to the photovoltaic plant totaled approximately 200,000 EUR.
Thieves have removed a complete solar roof installation with 96 solar panels in a nocturnal action in Bad Deutsch-Altenbrug/Lower Austria. They forcibly opened the barrier system of the agricultural property and dismantled the 96 panels with a total area of about 190 square meters in starry night. It is assumed that the crime was very well planned. The damage amounts to approx. 20,000 EUR
Unknown perpetrators gained access to the photovoltaic plant by forcing open a side entrance gate locked with a security chain. They then unscrewed a total of 64 inverters and transported them away. The damage amounts to 128,000 EUR.
The thieves surmounted the fence in the night from Thursday to Friday, dismantled solar panels and transported them away with a presumably larger vehicle. The damage amounts to several tens of thousands of euros.
Between Friday and Saturday 18 to 19.11.2022 thieves struck at the solar park Ehndorf. The perpetrators drove from the main road to close to the PV Park and cut open the fence.
They opened the pallets with solar modules provided for installation and loaded 186 of the panels stored on them. The amount of damage is about 37,000 EUR. |
