Approximately 8000 m of copper cable were stolen from a solar park near Nienburg/Saale probably over the weekend. The police suspect that nevertheless only one vehicle was used. The damage is not quantified.
Triggering an alarm at the Münster-Sarmsheim solar park near Bingen am Rhein, it was discovered that two shipping containers containing spare parts for the solar plant had been broken into. The damage is not known.
Unknown perpetrators entered through or over the fence to a company site, dismantled inverters installed on several buildings there and then transported them away. The damage amounts to a five-digit sum.
Unknown perpetrators drove to the solar park with a white transport, forcibly opened the fence there and tried to dismantle parts. This attempt failed - presumably also because of the video surveillance of the park. The police were able to secure traces. Nevertheless, the property damage amounts to approx. 11,000 EUR.
Probably during the night of Saturday, August 12, unknown intruders cut open the fence to the Oberdreis solar park in Rhineland-Palatinate and entered the premises without permission. There they stole an as yet unknown quantity of copper cables. The damage has not yet been quantified.
At the Föhren solar park in Rhineland-Palatinate, there was another theft of copper cables. According to initial investigations, the thieves climbed over the fence and then opened a gate from the inside to access the site with a vehicle. Here they stole several thousand meters of cable with a total value of approximately EUR 50,000. The incident is said to have occurred in the night from Thursday to Friday.
Unknown perpetrators have entered the construction site of the Denklingen solar farm and stolen pallets with a total of 800 solar modules. Due to the weight of about 23 tons, one or more vehicles must have been used for this purpose. According to the police, the theft occurred between the 15th and 18th of July. The damage amounts to approx. 100,000 EUR.
Unknown perpetrators stole inverters with a value of approximately 120,000 EUR from the Kessin solar farm near Rostock. For this purpose, the fence was forcibly opened and the loot was taken away with a vehicle. With a value of an inverter of about 3,000 EUR, it must have been about 40 inverters of the plant.
A major theft occurred at the Niederarnbach solar farm in the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district. Unknown persons stole 13 pallets with copper cables with a loot value of approx. 65,000 EUR. Due to the weight of the loot (approx. 6.5 tons), the police do not assume that the theft was committed by a single perpetrator.
Unknown perpetrators forced open the massive outer fence and entered the solar farm without authorization. There, they disconnected the cable connections of the individual solar modules and were thus able to steal approx. 3000 - 4000 m of copper cable. The removal took place presumably with a small truck. According to the operator, the damage is in the lower six-digit euro range.
