Several perpetrators forced their way into the Amberg solar park in Unterallgaeu from a service road that runs along the solar park during the night from Thursday to Friday. To do so, they forcibly opened the fence at several points. They then cut the relevant cables with tools they had brought with them and moved the inverters to a vehicle provided. The Memmingen police assume that at least three perpetrators were involved. The theft damage amounts to several 10,000 EUR; the total damage due to property damage and failure of the plant cannot yet be quantified.
